RULES AND REGULATIONS REVISED BY THE DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE OF THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS (BOG) IN 2024
PREAMBLE
“Respect for rules is respect for yourself and others.”
These rules and regulations are expected to serve your interest and help you to lead a responsible life while you are at school so that you develop into a disciplined well behaved, useful, balanced and a mature citizen.
All students must abide by them and parents whose daughters are admitted in St Katherine secondary school must agree that their daughters adhere to these set of rules and regulations.
ADMISSION

- All students must fulfill the admission requirements before they are allowed in the school. Any student who fails to meet these requirements shall not be allowed in the school.
PUNCTUALITY
The way we spend our time defines who we are.” — Jonathan Estrin.
All students are expected to observe, respect and manage time in all school programmes. Failure to manage time leads to punishment such as slashing, sweeping the compound, cleaning or washing the ablution.
(ii) On reporting, all continuing students MUST report on Saturday and Sunday preceding the official reporting day not later than 4:30pm. Any student who fails to report on the stated days shall be required to report the following weekend accompanied by a parent or guardian not later than 4:30pm
ATTENDANCE
Attendance of the following activities is compulsory for all students
- All classes.
- Official study time.
- Other academic and co-curricular programmes timetabled.
- Meals.
- Church services on Sundays.
- Parade and Assembly.
- All lessons
- Preps
- Medical check up
- All roll calls.
- And any other school function the authority deems fit.
PERMISSION
“Asking permission is a sign of respect, not weakness.
- Permission to leave school to be granted by only the Headteacher.
- Leaving school without permission will lead to indefinite suspension.
- Any student who stays out of school beyond the authorized period shall come back with a parent or guardian.
UNIFORMS
Wearing a uniform is a symbol of pride, unity, and discipline
- All students must properly and smartly dress in prescribed school uniform. Yellow skirts, long sleeved shirts with a school badge, white socks, black low heeled closed shoes and yellow neck tie with school logo are for “A” level students.
