St Katherine Secondary School offers a diverse selection of subjects at both Ordinary and Advanced Levels. Students are guided to choose subject combinations that align with their interests, abilities, and career aspirations. Each combination is structured to provide academic depth and flexibility.
Our school follows the Uganda National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) guidelines and offers both O-Level (UCE) and A-Level (UACE) programmes in Arts and Sciences. Students are encouraged to select subject combinations that match their interests, talents, and future career goals. Each combination is carefully structured to provide a strong academic foundation and prepare learners for higher education and professional success.

O-Level Subjects (Senior Three and Senior Four)
At S.3, and S.4, students study a combination of compulsory and elective subjects under the New Lower Secondary Curriculum (NLSC). The subjects are designed to build foundational knowledge, practical competence, and problem-solving skills.
Note: In Senior Three (S.3), each student is required to select one subject from the Vocational category and one subject from the Humanities category to add to the seven compulsory subjects. This helps learners begin to shape their academic direction based on their strengths and career aspirations.
A-Level Subject Combinations (Senior Five and Senior Six)
At Advanced Level, St Katherine Secondary School offers a wide range of Arts and Science combinations, designed to prepare students for university education and professional careers. Students normally select three principal subjects along with two subsidiary subjects — General Paper and either ICT or Sub-Mathematics.
